Fall 2020

With the exception of the art classes, we have decided to cancel the virtual learning workshops due to very low enrollment.  Be Theatre will be meeting in person for spring classes if the Covid numbers continue to hold steady with low infection rates in our community.   We hear you and wlll look forward to seeing your kids in person in the spring.

Our youth  edcuation director, Caesar, will be producing some fun 10-minute acting sessions for free to anyone who'd like to enjoy them. We will be giving updates via our website and Facebook/Instagram so be on the look out! They'll be perfect for elementary aged students and can be used in the classroom or at home.

This is a great platform for individuals... or even groups of people who love to draw and paint.  Classes must meet a minimum of 4 students to make.   If a class has less than 5 enroll, you will recieve an email the Monday morning of the lesson with your refund information.

Do you love to draw, doodle or paint? Do you love theatre?  Let's blend the two! Art is involved in many aspects of theatre from the scenic design to the costume sketches and contruction.  In this class, we will focus on a different show each week and you will be presented with a subject from the show we talk about. It  may be a certain color or just the overall mood of the show.  In just 90 minutes, we will create a piece of art that reflects the show and your own personal style.  You will be responsible for your own supplies and will need have them ready before you log in each week.  See below for the weekly projects so you can decide what classes you'd like to take.

This is a weekly registration.  The good thing about these art classes is you can sign up for 1 class or all of them... it's up to you.  You will find the classes listed below with supplies needed. (Check back for October/November classes... listed at least 1 week prior to the actual class so you have time to sign up.) All supplies listed can be found at a basic craft store like Hobby Lobby or Michaels. You can also order online. Sign ups will be available until the Sunday before each class, or until they fill up (max 10)

HAMILTON:  Let's talk about the summer's biggest release... HAMILTON!  The color palette used in this production is significant.  From the reds of the British Coats to the pale blues of Eliza's costumes, we'll paint an small abstract using colors from the show.  You'll need two 12"x18" water color papers, brushes, water, rag, and a watercolors.

Set on an island in Greece, you can't deny the beauty of the Mediterranean blues.  In this class we will work on an acrylic abstract in blues, greens and whites. You'll need a 11"x14" canvas, and acrylic paints in those three colors.  I personally love ultramarine blue, paynes grey (dark blue), buff white,  titanium white, Sap green and green gold.  But any of these shades will work.

**Details for for remaining classes will be updated at least 1 week before each class.**
