FALL WORKSHOPS

All workshops this fall are performance classes that will conclude with a family/parent invited production at the end of the semester.

BE BEGINNERS
Instructor:  Buddy Smith

Show Title:  “Under Construction”
Grades K-3
Tuition:  $150

Session A:  Tuesdays, 4:30 to 5:30
Class Dates:  September 4th, 11th, 18th
                    October 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd
                    November 6th, 13th, 27th
                    Showcase:  December 4th (Time TBA)

Session B:  Wednesdays, 4:30 to 5:30
Class Dates:  September 5th, 12th, 19th
                    October 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th 
                    November 7th, 14th, 28th
                    Showcase:  December 5th (Time TBA)

Class Description
Students will work on improv and storytelling through acting games and exercises.  Emphasis on the class is beginning acting skills such as body movement, voice, projection, and character development.  This is a performance classes that will conclude with a family/parent invited production at the end of the semester. 

Class size is limited to 12 students so that each student gets the instruction, practice, and experience they need to grow and improve their skills.

Title:  The Santa Claus Chronicles (Subject to change depending on class size)
Session 1:  Grades 4-6
Session 2:  Grades 7-12

Session 1:  Mondays, 4:30 to 6:00   (For Grades 4-6)
Class Dates:September 3rd, 10th, 17th
                  October 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd
                  November 5th, 12th, 26th
Tech:  Monday, December 3rd from 4:30 to 8:30
2 Showcases:  December 10th (times TBA) Students to arrive at 4:30

Session 2: Thursdays, 4:30 to 6:00  (For Grades 7-12)
Class Dates: September 6th, 13th, 20th
                   October 4rd, 11th, 18th, 25th
                   November 8th, 15th, 29th
Tech:  Thursday, December 6th from 4:30 to 8:00
2 Showcases:  December 13th (times TBA) Students to arrive at 4:30
Possible Outreach Performance on December 14th

Class Description
In this class, students will strengthen skills by focusing on character development, engaging in more advanced improvisational exercises, active listening, and scene work as they prepare for a one act Christmas production to be presented to family, friends, and community members.

Class size is limited to 20 students so that each student gets the instruction, practice, and experience they need to grow and improve their skills.
