APRIL 9th and 10th
San Angelo PAC is proud to host resident companies, Be Theatre and Ballet San Angelo, as they celebrate live music and dance with music from the golden age of Jazz. This performance will present classic jazz favorites such as "Sweet Georgia Brown" and "It Had to Be You" performed by Be Theatre vocalists and paired with contemporary dance from Ballet San Angelo. Director's Elena Kent (Be Theatre) and Erin Lane (Ballet San Angelo) have created an evening celebrating life, music, and dance featuring live local musicians directed by David Engelman. The Jazz age of the early twentieth century is known to have brought joyful expression to the American music landscape when we needed it most. Following the worst pandemic in history, the Spanish Flu, Jazz lifted the spirits of Americans paving the way for the roaring 20s. Join Be Theatre and Ballet San Angelo as we pave the way for a hopeful 2021!
